English summary

Introduction

I am mother of two, living in Veisu area of Tampere. I am M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and was working in Nokia for 14 years until 2012, in an Finnish insurance company as IT specialist and team leader 2013-2018, currently as IT Release Manager at Valmet Technologies.

I was running for city council 2012 and 2017 and now again 2021. Third time's a charm? Although I did not make it to the city council yet, I've had the priviledge of being a Green representavative as:

- Member of Tampere City Planning Committee (Yhdyskuntalautakunta) 2017-
- Member of the Environment and Building Division of Tampere City Planning Committee (Ympäristö- ja rakennusjaosto) 2017-5/2019. Deputy member 6/2019 -
- Member of the Board, Tampere City's foundation for providing rental apartments ( Tampereen Vuokratalosäätiö) 2017-
- Member of the Board, Tampere infrastructure services (Tampereen Infra Liikelaitos) 2013-2017 

I would be very happy to continue my work for making Tampere even better place to live for everyone!

My agenda at Tampere

Children and youth. I want to ensure the resources for daycare, schooling and child welfare as the ground for good adulthood lays in good childhood.  Cost cuttings must be found somewhere else.

City environment and safe school roads. The small school kids must be able to walk or ride their bike to school safely. Hence there must be enough schools around Tampere so bus rides won’t be necessary (but better the buses than individual cars). A big part of Tampere's charm are the old buildings. I want to preserve as many of them as possible, at the same time also encouraging building new, innovative architecture in proper areas.

Open decision making. I want to ease residents’ influencing the decisions that affect their neighborhoods.

Support the new entrepreneurs and generally employment at Tampere. Initiatives to support new entrepreneurs need to continue as Tampere needs new companies to create new jobs and keep the city healthy. Tampere city can also support local businesses better within public procurements.

Environment. The best thing in Finland is nature! It is a treasure that we can go walking in the forests and lakesides almost anywhere. I want to keep green areas available for everyone also in city area as much as possible.
